With more than two decades of Emergency Department experience and an extensive background in patient safety and quality management, Dr. Phil Mitchell combines an unflagging commitment to evidence-based medicine with a deep understanding of process efficiency and a passion for innovation. In his role as Chief Medical Officer, he developed and leads the DispatchHealth clinical medicine, education, quality, compliance and patient experience teams.
Throughout his career Phil has been an active member as well as chairman of both the Utilization Management and Patient Safety and Quality committees within his primary hospital. He has also been involved in training medical students, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
