Myth 3: DispatchHealth Puts My CG-CAHPS Score & Patient Perception at Risk
DispatchHealth brings same-day medical care for urgent health needs right to patients’ homes. What’s more, we are proud to partner with primary care physicians, care management groups, and other provider systems to extend the reach of their clinicians, delivering prompt medical attention to their patients after hours, on weekends, or at times when patients can’t leave their home. If you’re a medical provider who would like to partner with DispatchHealth, you might have many questions about the service we provide. That’s why we’re offering our myth busters series, to help providers just like you learn more about how we do things around here.
One of the most common questions we’re asked at DispatchHealth has to do with patient satisfaction. Experienced medical providers have often developed relationships with their patients and know how important it is to maintain a high level of satisfaction. Will DispatchHealth decrease your CG-CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and System’s Clinician & Group Survey) score and your patients’ overall perception of the care you’re providing? Let’s dig into why that won’t be the case with DispatchHealth!
DispatchHealth’s Patient Satisfaction Rate
Here’s the truth: Patient satisfaction is as important to us as it is to you! We are committed to providing top-notch care that emphasizes friendly attitudes and experienced treatment from skilled medical providers. What’s more, we have our own system for measuring our patient satisfaction rate. We use the Net Promotor Score (NPS) to better understand how our patients view the service we are providing to them. We have an incredibly high average rating of 95, which reflects positively on the overall healthcare experience our patients receive. All in all, there’s no need to worry that partnering with DispatchHealth will negatively impact your CG-CAHPS score. In fact, it may even encourage a higher rating now that your patients have greater access to high-quality healthcare—and they won’t even have to leave their homes to get it!
What to Expect With DispatchHealth
DispatchHealth makes it easy to receive prompt medical service when your patients need it most. All they have to do is request a visit using our mobile app, our website, or the phone and one of our medical teams will arrive within a few hours to deliver the treatment they need. Every team consists of a physician assistant or nurse practitioner and a medical technician, with a board-certified emergency medicine physician always available by phone. We will bring a fully stocked medical kit that will allow them to offer many of the same treatments as an emergency room. We can treat common to complex medical conditions, complete certain diagnostic tests, and even perform minor medical procedures.
Once your patient has been taken care of, we will call in any prescriptions, print out the discharge paperwork, and send a detailed clinical summary to you. Integrating our medical care with our patients’ current healthcare teams is crucially important to us, and we will always encourage your patient to schedule a follow-up appointment with you and send any pertinent details your way.
How to Partner With DispatchHealth
If you’d like to learn more about the benefits of partnering with DispatchHealth as a provider group, contact us today and we’ll be glad to answer your questions. We extend the reach of care management groups, primary care providers, specialists, and more.
For life-threatening and time-sensitive injuries and illnesses, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. DispatchHealth shouldn’t be used in a life-threatening emergency and doesn’t replace a primary care provider.
